Last Night's Action: A Look at the Best

  • Jazz 103, Nets 92: The Nets may think they have a great young point guard in Devin Harris, but on Wednesday they got a glimpse of perhaps the best, Deron Williams. (And that includes Chris Paul.) Harris had 21 points and 11 assists but shot 7-of-17 from the field. Williams had 17 points (on 6-of-9 shooting) an also added 11 assists. Of course, he got more help than Vince Carter's 11-of-24 night could provide. Yi Jianlian's and Bobby Simmons' seven points in a combined 38 minutes didn't do much good. Neither did blowing a 27-7 lead.
  • Devils 5, Sabres 3: Apparently the Devils don't like three-game losing streaks. Five different players scored for New Jersey in this win in Upstate New York. Scott Clemmensen has nine wins in his most recent 11 starts. He's 31 years old and had hardly played at all in the NHL before this season. That he's been so successful speaks volumes of the Devils' system. The team knows how to make Martin Brodeur look good.
  • Rangers 3, Kings 2 (OT): Michal Rozsival scored on a penalty shot in the second period and also got the game-winner in overtime as the Rangers won for the second straight night in Southern California. Steve Valiquette got a rare start in net and beat the team that drafted him.

Deron Williams is very good, but Chris Paul is a once in a decade point guard.

As for the Rangers, it's nice to see the much maligned Rozie finally make a contribution. Now, if we can only sign Sundin...

    Paul is better than Williams.

    Oh, now I get it!

    Its a thread for spam.

That makes so much more sense then paying attention to schoolyard games.

So this post is about kids playing basketball.

I got more girls with a '69 Camaro.

I got more money with a '73 Telecaster (of course my career lasted more than five years)

And kids playing a high school game is noteworthy... WHY???

Oh crap, I forgot to get coked up and shoot myself... Damn I knew I forgot something!
