  • From the Gothamist Newsmap: A pedestrian struck at Seaview Ave & Father Capodanno Blvd on Staten Island, a firearm found by the Sanitation Department on Halsey St in Brooklyn and a missing EDP from Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan.
  • Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who "plowed" into a mother of two in Bay Ridge. The victim's daughter-in-law said, "Someone just hit my mother-in-law and left her to die on the street."
  • Some people are unhappy that President-elect Barack Obama has selected evangelical minister Rick Warren—who also opposes abortion rights—to deliver the inaugural invocation.
  • More Board of Elections nuttiness: FedEx delivered three boxes of voter registration forms on September 10, but the boxes of over 3,000 forms weren't found until November 12. And the mystery is that the last name of the person who signed for the boxes...isn't a BOE employee.
