- From the Gothamist Newsmap: A pedestrian struck at Seaview Ave & Father Capodanno Blvd on Staten Island, a firearm found by the Sanitation Department on Halsey St in Brooklyn and a missing EDP from Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan.
- Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who "plowed" into a mother of two in Bay Ridge. The victim's daughter-in-law said, "Someone just hit my mother-in-law and left her to die on the street."
- Some people are unhappy that President-elect Barack Obama has selected evangelical minister Rick Warren—who also opposes abortion rights—to deliver the inaugural invocation.
