I think that its lame that this publication or website will post propaganda that astroland might be saved by Bloomberg and Co. and then just backtrack and resign itself to astroland being closed is lazy media.

#7 if it closes, nothing will be there. Joe Sitt will continue to close things as a power play with the city until he can flip his land. I doubt he has ever had any real plans to develop and if he did you can pretty much bet that any potential investors have backed out with this recession. The only bars left will be the one at the ballpark and the freak show apparently has a new expanded bar.

I really don't want to know what Thor has in mind to replace that bar if they're forced to close. My first guess would a Margaritaville chain bar but I'm not sure even Thor hates us that much. No one is that evil. I hope.

Greasy food, cold beer, and Jay and the Amricans singing "Cara Mia" on the jukebox as a breeze blows off the beach. There is no better place to be on a summer afternoon. This will be a true loss.
