gov. paterson won the ny senate seat once occupied by his father so it is hard to imagine he will buck the nepotism trend. if people truly want to stop this kind of behavior, i urge you to stop voting for the two major parties and try and get some new blood in government. btw - when is chelsea clinton scheduled to run for be appointed to the senate?

anti kennedy "democrat" (for lack of a better choice) here, definitely voted against hilary for senate, against bloomjerk for 2nd term (and soon for 3rd term), and am against this latest nepotistic travesty, should the poindexter need some kind of random clarification from anonymous people

There is no way she is the most qualified person available to take the seat, not by a longshot. If she gets it, it'll be because she's a Kennedy. I'm not OK with that. If she'd like to hold public office, she needs to do what everybody else does and run for something.
