  • You guys are talking like non-diet soda is some pinnacle of natural purity. It's all a chemistry experiment nowadays.

What if I am thin and fit but prefer "real" coke. This is BS. Garbage revenue grab and social engineering. Pathetic.

  • Steven

Yep Toby. I would bet high fructose corn syrup is better for you then some of the chemicals they use in the diet soda and low fat or fat free food.

If Patterson whats to fix obesity he should make the soda companies use REAL sugar.

  • Snoopy

Right on Toby! Perhaps they should limit how many Big Macs that can be ordered at one time.

"Let's see that's two Big Macs super sized with an extra Chicken McNuggets also supersized, two apple pies, and a diet Coke. Will that be to stay or to go? Anything else? Oh, sorry but we don't have the 20 piece family bucket of fried chicken with the eight side dish special. That stops at six." "Next."

I thought I saw some change coming around with this guy and now this bullshit? But with this last bit of nonsense I am beginning to believe that Paterson can't see the light and he's becoming just like the other assholes up state.

  • Toby von Meistersinger

If they "obesity tax" on non-diet sodas, then they should have a "chemical tax" on the diet sodas. I rather have real sugar (or high fructose corn syrup) than some chemical compounds that will kill you.
