- From the Gothamist Newsmap: a church burglary on Seabreeze Ave in Brooklyn, a perp search at 29th St and Broadway in Manhattan and an armed robbery at Cooper Ave and 83rd St in Queens.
- A man who crashed his speeding sports car into a utility pole Friday night in Staten Island died today at SI University Hospital.
- Police are still investigating who was behind the shooting outside a Long Island high school basketball game Friday night. The 14-year-old victim was announced to be in stable condition.
- Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes is angry that disgraced Assemblyman Charles Norman has managed to get himself transferred to a minimum security prison downstate with a view of Central Park.
- Governor Paterson is apparently set to announce new taxes on gasoline, clothing and an "obesity tax" on non-diet sodas in his budget Tuesday. Before that arrives though, he is expected to issue a response to last night's send-up on SNL.
