THEATER: Winner of the 2008 New York Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Play, Keith Reddin and Meg Gibson's Too Much Memory re-imagines the Antigone myth in today's world of suicide bombers and war without borders. The production, largely inspired by Jean Anouilh's World War II-era version of Antigone, makes a "contemporary collage" with text lifted from Richard Nixon, Tom Hayden, Peter Brook, Anne Carson, Pablo Neruda, Susan Sontag, and Hannah Arendt. Reviewing the Rising Phoenix Rep production when it opened, David Cote at Time Out NY wrote, "Too Much Memory helps you remember why we do these bloody old tragedies, again and again." – John Del Signore

DANCE: Last night we had the great pleasure of experiencing Being Together, Misnomer Dance Theater's world premiere of three new works, featuring original music by composer Evan Ziporyn. Choreographed by Chris Elam (who also choreographed Bjork's stunning "Wanderlust" video) the three pieces elegantly blend impressive, gravity-defying physicality with sensuous interplay between the dancers to explore ideas about intimacy. At turns funny and captivating, Being Together sent us out into last night's deluge feeling somehow more centered. And if you can't make tonight's final performance, it will be simulcast on the internets. – John Del Signore
