THEATER: A big hit in Ireland and in subsequent international touring, the zany satirical musical Improbable Frequency is now getting great reviews in New York. Set during World War II, the story concerns a young British code breaker sent to Ireland to investigate coded messages broadcast during an Irish radio-requests show; "his enquiries take him on a surreal odyssey through Dublin in a rollercoaster musical fantasy that mixes literary lounge lizards, political satire and nuclear physics." Charles Isherwood at the Times calls it a "dizzy little musical with a dazzling rhymed book and lyrics and jaunty music-hall tunes." – John Del Signore
