This is foolish. Property taxes in NYC are too low, and the City suffers. And if $400 makes a real difference for you, you don't own property.

Does anyone know if these checks only go to condo owners and not co-ops? Also, when do you have to have purchased in order to be eligible?

Those $400. checks will do about as much good as the Bush $600. rebate to each taxpayer. Old Joke: Cheer up, things could get worse. So I cheered up and sure enough, they got worse.
