HAHAHAHA! I AM NOT CLAIMING TO BE GOOD AT GRAMMAR AND/OR PROOFREADING. That is why I am not an editor for a living. That is the whole point, you dolt!

  • zodak

"The fact That you don't realize that is hilarious!"

    notice That?

  • Scout1

Right, that's a smart rule to live by. So don't point out anything that's wrong unless you're perfect. I saw a truck almost run over a person and informed the driver that he should be more careful, but since I once didn't signal when changing lanes, I was really out of line.

The point is that I am not an "editor" that makes a living writing. Why should my grammar be beyond reproach? All of this underscores how BLATANT the errors are on here when people like me and Iloveanimalsandchinesepeople, with our obvious low levels of grammatical skills, are able to identify these gaffes.

At the end of the day, you're not even smart enough to realize the intentional misspelling was being used to demonstrate the point.

Oh, and sentences start with capital letters, just for the record. And you spelled "sentence" wrong.

    FTW.

  • zodak

i'm sure "necessarily" was spelled wrong intentionally & that you always capitalize letters in the middle of a sentance.

if you are going to correct someone else's grammar, yours should be beyond reproach.

    assholes.

  • Scout1

zodak you stupid shit, "ending up with tea dripping down my face" was INTENTIONALLY written like that. The fact That you don't realize that is hilarious!

Badboy may not be a word, but I don't purport to be an editor for a living. Are you suggesting that I can't say a football player made a bad play because I'm not in the NFL?

  • rubyredhead

zodak is clearly a maniac and retarded.

  • r1b2

Oops, left 2 typos in there accidently. I, of course, meant "things like typos" and "as a reader". Shame on me.

  • r1b2

The distinction, zodak, is that the editors have access to tools that would catch things liek typos. As a reading leaving comments, I have no such support. So if I tpye incorectly, pleas frgive me.

Bottom line is that we all consume a ton of the assorted -ist postings, we enjoy reading them, and we think Jen looks pretty good in the blue ringer T-shirt. Oops, did I say that last bit out loud?

  • zodak

oh Iloveanimalsandchinesepeople, did my comments bother you? i guess it's because in your multiple posts you also made mistakes, unless you really do wash your hair with tea:

"Hopefully I wont get any shampoo in my eye and end up with tea dripping down my face."

scout1, "badboy" is not a word.

more evidence that you assholes aren't as smart as you think you are.

  • Scout1

    Jen-

Glad to hear you are trying. I only point it out to be constructive. I love the ist but the lack of basic proofreading does get frustrating sometimes. I mean you left out an entire word. Anyway, I don't know rubyredhead and what their intent was, but the suggestion is great nonetheless. Reading aloud is a great way to proofread.

Maybe this badboy would help you out.

  • rubyredhead

snice is a joke. it's a vegetarian restaurant in the west village.

  • Iloveanimalsandchinesepeople

F you Zodak..you are the asshole, Rubyredhead was just trying to make the world and this site a better place.

  • zodak

"what is a "snice" please proofread your comments"

    rubyredhead: pwned!

that's what i love about you grammar complainers, once we get you to post more than one comment, you inevitably make a mistake, proving that you aren't a better writer, just an asshole.

  • Iloveanimalsandchinesepeople

what is a "snice" please proofread your comments

  • rubyredhead

15 you are insane. and funny. 15 is paid to be funny and we get it all here for free. how snice.

  • Iloveanimalsandchinesepeople

also, I sincerely dont think that grammar or spelling neccessarily reflects on intelligence at all. I am very impressed by anyone that can speak and write in more than one language.

  • r1b2

Look, I used to toss a zing or two at Jen, and truth be told, there are enough editing tools that spelling errors shouldn't occur. But this is a decent site, with good content, if at times heavy on the Wal-Mart stampede of the moment. This isn't the Wall Street Journal, so if the grammar doesn't meet your level, try to lighten up. The writing here is way better than the Post, and that dillweed in the fake Plaxico jersey. Keep it up, Jen, et al.

  • Iloveanimalsandchinesepeople

I support you trying Jen..I think,,,I have to check with my friend. Anyway, I dont want you to be sad

  • Jen Chung

Readers-- do you think I like getting these comments about how I'm stupid and that I should proofread? Yes, I would LOVE to be perfect, but mistakes will unfortunately happen. I am TRYING.

So, again, thanks for the feedback. And I doubt this is the first or last time I will have been served. Time to move on!

  • Iloveanimalsandchinesepeople

this is fun, I have never commented on articles before..I have to go shower and shave...then I wil be back with more comment. Hopefully I wont get any shampoo in my eye and end up with tea dripping down my face. Jen Chung you have been served!
