MTV isn't just MTV... Nickelodeon is a huge part of the network and profitable at that. The Nick folks have to suffer for the MTV losses and that is a shame.

maybe now they'll know what it feels like to not be in the one percent. Yes, I know they're not the ones being let go but they perpetuated the image. next to be canceled, Gossip Girl. Bring back Good Times. ain't we lucky we got them?

great. now I can see MTV having a "brilliant" thought and creating a new reality series based on the recession. Some hip 20 something year old, Living life on the "street" after being layed off. And when I mean "street" i mean some Posh upscale Condo and complaints of "i shoudln't buy those $1200 pair of shoes, I need to save some money" drama maybe one day, Reality TV will go the way of the recession.

Sorry, I have no sympathy or love for Viacom. Between their stupid lawsuit against YouTube and the extras they only put on "complete series" box sets and refuse to release to the poor souls who supported them by buying seasons individually, they're nothing but a bunch of ultragreedy bastards. I suspect next they'll ask the government for a bailout.
