We encourage hockey players to fight and bleed during the games, no problem. But he talks some sh*t off the ice and he's suspended indefinitely? Puh-leeeze! Where's Wendel Clark when you need him?

@rubyredhead--I've said it before: English is not my first language! And I appreciate people pointing out the typos and grammatical errors I make--I do try to proofread, but I admit sometimes I am rushing to get things up. I am trying to be better about it. Also, hockey is not my forte.

i dont think english is jen chungs' first language. just a hunch. she just doesn't have respect for the language in general. i love this site, but i'm sick of her lack of respect for proofreading and for her readers.

I think Suspending him indef and then Releasing him is a bit harsh... i mean... its not like he shot himself in the damn leg.

Er, Healy was a goaltender not a defenseman. Besides that point, what is up with Bettman? He is an absolute tool. The NHL has gone down the crapper since he took over. It's main TV deal is with Versus, which appears to normally show rodeos and other such winning fodder. Now, he and the dummy Hicks (please sell your stake in Liverpool FC immediately before you ruin that great club) want to censor one of the games more colorful characters. Even though he sometimes says some pretty dumb things, the NHL needs players like Avery. He plays the villain perfectly. If the Stars want to send him back to NY, I'd take him back in a second. While I can appreciate the skill level of Crosby, and in general I prefer skill players to the fourth line goons, Sydney is about as interesting and engaging as drywall ... and he's a diver and whiner.

However there is still an error..Slapshots says it seems that the Dallas Stars, which signed him after the Rangers decided to let him ????, are looking to get rid of him and "dispose of his four-year, $15.5 million contract."The articles on this site are rarely more than a paragraph. Is it really so difficult to take 2 minutes and read through them before posting? The frequent errors are well past being a joke at this point.
