Don't you think that a person who is about to drop 126k on a book, albeit a hardbound book, about Michaelangelo would know that the marble he used came from Carrara? This is not the kind of book you would cuddle up with and read on the couch on a snowy day.

"The New York Public Library is in temporary possession..." "a fine-art publication house in Italy whose charitable foundation donated this copy to the New York library..." I don't understand, does the library own it or is it on loan? Are they going to auction it off on ebay starting on Monday? What gives?
