Here at my office, where we actually provide a useful service to our clients rather than just move money around, we're still having a holiday party. Of course, we don't waste money by having our party at the waldorf astoria, either.

I could never relax at an office party. You can't let your hair down and enjoy a few drinks around people you work with. I'd much rather go pay for my own drinks at a favorite bar with friends instead of people I simply share an employer with.
