Game Over for Giant PSP on Houston

phpK2DwvCPM.jpgIncase you missed the news on this PSP Fanboy site, the giant PSP that's been lording over Houston Street is gone. The site reports that the oversized gaming thingamajig has "been a landmark for years," and its dismantlement marks the end of an era...though they question if Sony will replace it with a "PSP-3000 system, which will be slimmer than the original giant PSP-1000." If that's the case, hopefully they'll be able to figure out the glitches that plagued Billboard 1.0.

I didn't realize being there for 3 years makes it legendary. Now the DKNY sign on Houston is a landmark.

biggest electronic billboard failure ever. I don't recall ever looking up and seeing that thing functioning properly.

FAIL!

A "landmark for years"? The "end of an era"?

It was there about 3 1/2 years.

I remember the DKNY from elementary school ... and that's almost 13 years ago!

Welcome to 21st Century NYC. Anything that lasts more than 18 months is worthy of landmark status and is a cultural milestone. Anything older than 5 years should be allowed to be torn down.

I was only pissed when they removed the dog woman with muliple huge titties from prince street.

the real question is, as posed by 11 year old kareem tucker of easy harlem...

Nintendon DS or Playstation Portable?

I remember when I lived there, there was a huge, blinking Yahoo! billboard as an advertisement. I liked that much better. Boohoo, indeed.

co-sign with #2. epic fail
