I guess none of you watched NY1 this morning. The train is close to $700 dollars because some of the proceeds are going to help the 'troubled' MTA (under the guise of licensing fees). Slimy Sander gave a little speech about it.

haha wow 2 days of coverage for this? i am so excited!! my dad was operating this yesterday @ the transit museum & was in the ny times article! neil young is actually part owner of the company as well in case anyone is interested. apparently neil is an engineering/electrical genius. buy this train or at least go look at it in the transit museum!! now years of my dad torturing us with this stuff has paid off i guess! ha!

Those are really neat but the price is really high. If our layout was O scale (we run HO), I guess I'd have to shell out the money for these. It's amazing that there isn't a subway-inspired set. I think Marklin once had one, btu that was a while ago.

what would be really impressive would be authentic thoughts of subway riders - out loud! "would it kill you to use some deodorant?"
