I'm sure it tastes better than your average potato or mushroom. But probably the same as other white truffles.

It probably doesn't taste any beter than your average potato or mushroom. It's just people with more dollars than sense like to show off how much money they can throw away on frivolous crap. Conspicuous consumption, nothing more.
