Last Night's Action: Stephon Sulks

  • Milwaukee 104 Knicks 87: On a day that New York looked to the future, their past and present wouldn’t stop haunting them. With two trades and multiple injured players, the Knicks were forced by NBA rules to dress Stephon Marbury for Friday’s game.

However, according to Mike D’Antoni, Marbury refused to play Friday leaving the Knicks with only seven players. Marbury had a different story and it will probably be impossible to ever figure out who is telling the truth, but for now it’s the same old Knicks, even if 2010 looks a whole lot better.

  • Devils 5 Islanders 2: Kevin Weekes won the 100th game of his career as New Jersey jumped out to an early lead and stood up to a New York threat to bring home the win.

The New York Times quoted Marbury's story but didn't even bother to suggest it was a he said-he said situation. They were in the tank for D'Antoni and his version from the outset. Who wouldn't be? Remember Starbury's line about learning a lot from Larry Brown?

There must be a thousand guys out there in the hood that can play that game. Just go out and hire a few to fill the bench. Throw them thirty or forty bucks a game and they will be thrilled to play.

    The New York Knicks!!

Send him packing. He's an albatros.
