Eat As Much Cold Stone as You Want; It's for the Needy Orphans

2008_11_icey_cream.jpgJennie Dundas and Alexis Miesen of Brooklyn's Blue Marble aren’t the only ones who think that areas of Africa might somehow benefit from some ice cream action: visit the Astor Place location of Cold Stone Creamery (between Broadway and Lafayette) today from 5-7 p.m. and make a purchase. It’ll benefit Orphans International Tanzania. Here’s the idea: the organization will receive 15% of the store’s profits during that time period if their gross is up to $500, and 20% of the profits if Stone Cold Creamery brings in anything over $500. So go get some ‘mix-ins’ and help someone else out in the process.

What are you doing exactly help the cause HUGO MEGO? My guess would be a big fat nothing.

Cold Stone Creamery is bad overpriced ice cream and no cause, no matter how good or noble, would get me to go. It isn't like they are losing money here, in fact they are getting the best sort of advertising that money can't buy.

Hugo Mego, you're a douche. Go move to Alaska and be with your sweetheart Sarah, she's intelligent. Also, hipsters so don't like Cold Stone, they like the homemade shit from Brooklyn, get it straight you moron.

However, this is a cheap ploy for Cold Stone to churn out some profit during a bad economy and really cold weather when they'd otherwise have zero profit margin to donate to anyone, including themselves.

criticize all you want HUGO, he's not a dictator and you just happen to be a douche. It's just that people will stop calling you names if you decide to debate on substance and policy, rather than making blanket, quasi-racist statements. Me insulting you because you are a douche should by no means encourage you to think that anyone who likes Obama can't take the fact that some people don't like him, but again, you're just a douche working against all ration and logic.

Must have been pretty busy for the past hour reloading this page and waiting for responses to your witty comments.

Oh, and I forgot that the age of W from 2000-2008 was the age of open mindedness and respecting the fact that not everyone thinks exactly alike.

Thank you for shedding light on the fact that our honest, open government is a thing of the past.

me = not patriotic because I don't like W

you = psychic because you know exactly how everything will be under the Obama administration that hasn't yet been inaugurated. Also, you = giant douche.
