The "ice" however, doesn't quite feel like ice. My friend and I can both hold our own on ice, but struggled at the Polar Rink. Skates tend to slide outwards, as the surface doesn't really provide the same "bite" as real ice. One of the staff members there told me it took him two days to really get used to it and another said it took a full half-day.
