Showing real class getting out on the top. It's especially satisfying to see the great year he had after he was vilified for some earlier poor performances. It's a tough decisions: do I try to stick it out, maybe get lucky and have 2 more good years in me? Randy Johnson is fighting for his 300 and it doesn't look promising. Moose will be missed.

A special problem with older players is they don't feel like playing and spending so much time away from their families. Considering the millions he's rejecting, you have to respect that.

Crap. We can use him. All he needs to do is give us 15 wins a year for the next two years. That's all. Mussina was one of the best acquisitions the Yankees ever made. Sorry to see him go.

Mussina had a pretty fabulous season this year; I'm surprised not to see him want to come back for another year or two.

Almost impossible to get 300 career wins these days (with 5-man staffs and relief specialists) unless you pitch well into your 40's.
