Richard Prior also saw this problem early in his career. Here it is.

The girls do pay the club a "house fee," It was $150 last I heard.
As for the club double-dipping... That is definitely how it works in the industry, but when the girls walk home with $1500-3000 a night who's complaining? Not anyone who wants to draw attention to their cash income.

Bada Bing. They're lucky that the club's lawyers are probably restraining the owners from maiming or killing them.

I'm a little confused about this whole issue. It's been my impression that in most clubs, the dancers effectively pay to dance there. They automatically give the house a percentage of their tips and then whatever's left is all they make. Does Scores not work like that, or do the dancers there just not like the system?

Good luck to these women suing the mobsters. We'll see some of them next year on Floater Week.

I'm not sure if you can equate this to how banks keep talent r1b2. One reason is that in the stripping world, the supply of hot chicks with fake tits easily outstrips demand. There will always be another if one quits.

Whereas with investment banks, talent is a little harder to come by. The banks have to try harder to obtain and keep them.

It's always struck me as odd that places like this wouldn't do everything they could to keep the talent happy. Inestment banks go to no limits to keep talent happy. Other business treat their talent like stars. In a go-go bar, the talent is the reason folks come in. Pay them, keep them happy, and there are few problems. Greed isn't good.
