  • Rangers 3 Boston 2 (Shootout): This may have been the best win of the season. Trailing 2-0 with just over six minutes left, the Rangers scored two goals to tie things in regulation and then pulled it out in overtime. Chris Drury scored in the fourth round of the shootout and it took an instant replay to determine that the Bruins’ Patrice Bergeron didn’t score and New York had won.
  • Islanders 3 Ottawa 2: If only the Islanders could play the Senators every night. New York jumped all over Ottawa, taking a 3-0 lead, before being forced to hang in a close game. Joey MacDonald was heroic again stopping 38-of-40 shots.
  • Devils 6 Washington 5 (Shootout): This would have been an especially cruel loss. Leading 5-4, New Jersey saw Washington score with only one second remaining in the game to force overtime. Zach Parise scored in the shootout to spare the Devils another loss.
  • Red Bulls 1 Real Salt Lake 0: The Red Bulls are headed to the MLS Finals thanks to their victory Saturday. Dave van der Bergh scored in the 28th minute to provide the only goal of the game.
