Woman Fights Serial Rapist with iPod Charger

2008_11_charger.jpgThe police arrested a serial rapist suspected of raping a woman on Staten Island over the weekend. The Advance reports NYPD received a tip on their CrimeStoppers hotline and picked up 23-year-old Thomas Fields, who was picked out of a line-up. Also: "Sources told the Advance the woman fought back during the rape by jabbing her iPod charger into Fields' neck. He still bore two prong marks on the neck from the charger." Fields had grabbed the victim and dragged her behind a church. A neighbor who heard the woman's screams call 911; when police arrived, Fields allegedly said, "It's cool. She's my girl," before escaping, but leaving behind a yellow jacket with Sylvester the Cat on it. Fields raped two women when he was 15; he was convicted and sentenced in 2001 and released on parole last year.

Do you think if we cut gills in his penis and blew into them with a straw it would serve a deterrent for future rapists?

They should lock him up for life without patrol because face it he is a career criminal or cut off his penis.

Where are his parents? Disgusting how a life of crime began when he was 15.

too bad she didn't cut his jugular.

Rapists shouldn't get parole. They should be waterboarded, set on fire, and have the remains thrown to rats.

why do they let these people out of jail?!?!

But the prongs on an ipod charger flip back into the square base so easily.
Baffling.

Once a rapist, always a rapist. He will probably get five more years in jail and strike back as soon as he gets out.

Why bother putting these people in jail if they're just gonna let them out in a few years?

At least give them a vasectomy so that they can't impregnate any willing, or unwilling women.

#8- They've still got fingers and a tongue.

you can still get a hard on with a vasectomy... I say public stoning like some countries way over there...

iStab, iDefense, iFightback, iResist...Mr Jobs should capitalize on this.

It's too bad that iPods don't come with chargers anymore.

wow, where I live (Massachusetts) she would be arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, self defense or no. Not sure if that applies in New York. Crazy.
