The "Vietnam Myth" MUST be upheld. Men and women were forcibly drafted under threat of being imprisoned and or fined to fight an undeclared war against an opponent thousands of miles from any American border- trying to resist French Colonialism like we resisted Brittish colonialism. Any critique of the Myth's constructed has to be suppressed.

that we knew each other in a professional way on the same level of, say, thousands of other people. Exactly, this is why the "issue" has been so dumb. You run for office. Your opponent (Hillary!) hires a team to comb through your records and look at every single person you've associated with. And they find this one guy, and just hammer away at it. Think about what they would do with your life. Who amongst your family, friends, or co-workers throughout your whole career has some controversial secret. And yet, it played. I've met people on the street in the neighborhood who honestly cited Ayers as a reason to not like Obama. It's so foolish.

What is the definition of irony again? "We knew it was wrong. We knew it was illegal. We knew it was immoral," he said, but the group's members felt they "had to do more" to stop the Vietnam War.
