goodcow, I thought DC payed the most per student in the country? I could be wrong... Either way, another example of how funding isn't necessarily the answer....

@1 - Why does NYC spend the most money per student in the country already? The problem isn't the funding the level, the problem is management. The system is failing and needs to be shaken up.

My son's graduating in June so I don't care. Don't cut funding for basketball courts though. Then the crime rate will really go up.

Well, the students weren't learning anything anyway. Might as well cut our losses and invest in programs students will need. Keep Gym though. Way too many fatties

And you thought things we're bad in the NYC Public Schools before? This is all gonna roll downhill, and the students are at the bottom.
