That video is not the 09 ball, that is the 08. The 09 ball roll-out can be likened to the xbox360 rrod roll-out in 05. Fingers crossed.

Has that Good Morning America viewer been living under a rock for the past near-decade? The design looks pretty much the same as it has done for the last several years. Not sure about it being up in Times Square all year around though, might take away from it's significance. I have no problem with it being used for Halloween, but Valentine's Day? Yuck.
