Shelters Have Adorable Hypoallergenic Pups

2008_11_hypopup.jpgWith all the excitement over the appointment of the First Puppy-Elect, the Post has two very adorable suggestions. Last week President-elect Obama acknowledged that the family was looking for a hypoallergenic dog, due to daughter Malia's allergy, but they would prefer to get a shelter dog. A dog at Port Washington's North Shore Animal League fits the bill: Gisepy, a "sweet and energetic...10-pound Shih Tzu-Yorkie mix." And the Animal Lovers League in Glen Cove suggests Kody, "a poodle mixed breed," who is "smart, playful and willing to please." Aw, and another hypoallergenic pup from the North Shore Animal League--Ruffo, a poodle featured on NBC Nightly News for its First Dog story--was recently adopted!

"I'm glad that we have a president that realizes that it's OK to respect living things,"

Unless of course they are newborn infants who survived an abortion attempt, in which case they can be left to die in the nearest storage room.

Please remember the stray dogs and unwanted puppies.

"how many" sorry Spit76 and the all those people who lost their job being proof readers at the Post.

Ides. Can you tell me home many first downs did George W. accomplish in the past eight years? Interceptions by the other team does not count as a first down. Also bombing the shit out of a country with no real game plan doesn't qualify either.

I'm glad that we have a president that realizes that it's OK to respect living things, even if they are dogs are cats. How is this bad, or political?

    >Pretty soon every time Obama farts the sycophants and groupies >will stand and cheer like he scored a touchdown in the >Superbowl.

....we'll I bet you creamed your jeans everytime Bushie strung the word "terrorist", "nucular", and "freedom" together too.

Ides I hear you still have a chance to get a plane ticket to Iraq or Afghanistan before the year is up. How about it? Do we need four more years of the same Bush Bullshit? I thought four years ago he was the right one to get the game finished. Obviously not. McCain? Obviously not!

Even if Obama's game plan, whatever it might be, is wrong. It's at least a different plan than George's or McCain would ever be.

"With all the excitement over the appointment of the First Puppy-Elect,"

Excitement over Obama's puppy??? Maybe among the Obama fanatics, not for anybody with a nickel's worth of brain cells or sense of perspective.

Pretty soon every time Obama farts the sycophants and groupies will stand and cheer like he scored a touchdown in the Superbowl.
