EVENT: Camera Club New York is hosting a silent auction tonight, with works from both emerging and established photographers, and a selection of vintage prints as well. Preview some of the photographs here. Pictured is a shot by Larry Fink called "Stiff Arm and Silk, McKuin Wedding, 2008." All proceeds go to the CCNY, a non-profit arts organization that has been around since 1884.

THEATER: The Classical Theatre of Harlem's Future Classics reading series continues tonight with Stepchild, a one-man show starring Roger Guenveur Smith as Frederick Douglass. Set just after Lincoln's assassination, the play explores "the complex and often conflicted relationship between Douglass, perhaps the most powerful symbol and agent of the Abolitionist movement in America, and Abraham Lincoln, a U.S. President who found 'greatness thrust upon him.'" – John Del Signore
