Obama Considers Rolling Back Bush Policies

2008_11_peobama.jpgPresident-elect Obama will meet President Bush at the White House today to talk transition. However, the Washington Post reports that Obama's transition advisers "have compiled a list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that could be swiftly undone to reverse White House policies on climate change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues." Even closing Guantanamo Bay prison is a possibility. John Podesta, a "top transition leader," said, "There’s a lot that the president can do using his executive authority without waiting for Congressional action, and I think we’ll see the president do that. He feels like he has a real mandate for change. We need to get off the course that the Bush administration has set.”

Welcome to Barack HUSSEIN Obama's Amerikka.
Halal meats rule!

And not a moment too soon.

Can he reverse the inevitable pardons of Libby and Stevens?

Ooh-oo child, things are gonna get easier
Ooh-oo child, things'll get brighter
Ooh-oo child, things are gonna get easier
Ooh-oo child, things'll be brighter

Some day, yeah
We'll put it together and we'll get it all done
Some day
When your head is much lighter
Some day, yeah
We'll walk in the rays of a beautiful sun
Some day
When the world is much brighter

#1- must be nice to eat at your family dinner. Do you call your father "dad" or "grand wizard"?

Really, HUGO, you're so predictable. Yawn.

#4: Hahaha!

The dark ages of the republicans are done!

We are witnessing the American Renaissance where science enlightens what religion covered with suspicion, where philosophy fights the rule of fear for the unknown. Medieval america will be pissed for the heresies on the gods of ignorance. Little they seem to see their days are over, and their wall street castles burnt.

Hugo, keep your mouth shut, the adults are talking.

Hey Hugo - the Amerikka started when the feds took over failing banks in september. under BUSH. nice try though.

Hugo, if you wish to remain a somewhat credible troll, you're gonna have to reign it in a little. This comment was too stupid to even qualify as "trolling"... and that's saying something.

His first order will perhaps be to banned Co2 emissions and maybe even instill a CARBON TAX where the people will have to buy "Carbon Credits."

He will probably undo many of Bush's policies, but this being continuity of government, expect for him to keep a few AND expand......

You may change your view of him by February '09 though.....

And Hugo, shut up. Your trolling is getting tedious.

Felix - Pardons cannot be reviewed or reversed.

r1b2 - There is support for CO2 legislation in this country, but the US will likely never join Kyoto.

I think Amanda Harlech's trolling is just as bad as Hugo's.

"Obama Considers Rolling Back Bush Policies"

Sheesh, one would hope so. That's why we elected him. On a side note, HUGO is right about one thing, halal meat does rule.

Yeah Matty if you say so, as bad!

Amanda I was at the rally in grant park in chicago.

I made calls for obama.

I voted for Obama.

Just because I find insanely leftist rants like yours embarrassing doesn't mean that I am a conservative.

Unfortunately, Obama can't roll back the Supreme Court. The rest of these problems won't evaporate just because Obama reverses most Bush policies. Train wrecks take a while to clean up.

Maybe Obama could roll-back global warming on his first day in office, next day he'd click his heels & have Israelis get along with Palestinians. If he pays my mortgage, he got a lock on my vote in '12 & '16. Yeah, I expect him to pull a bloomberg.

#23, let's not forget the miraculous healing powers!

You're CURED, My child!!!

:::::heavenly starry faerie dust:::::::

See? I made it all better.

Now go back to sleep.

I'm already very proud of our first Hawaiian president!

uggghhhhh.... effin zombies in here.

I like the part about closing gitmo. Great idea Osama let me guess we will release the prisoners to a work reform program and have them plant flowers and trees along our highways.

How does he go about rolling back the reputational train wreck?
