The reporter should have asked him why is 12 years better than 8? What makes a politician better to have 2 terms vs 3 terms?

This comment by BP Molinaro is nonsense. "Eight years is just not enough. Twelve years is a necessity for have an effective person in office." Politicians are elected for 4 years not 12. A politician needs to be competent enough to accomplish what ever was promised during a campaign in four years. When does a politician ever campaign saying it will take three consecutive four year terms to accomplish my campaign promises? Why not we have dictators instead? Eight year term limits should be instituted for the NYC mayor just so the super rich do not hijack the city like Bloomberg is doing.
