President-Elect Obama All the Time

2008_11_dnfr1.jpg

Everyone loves the "Office of the President-elect"! President-elect Obama's first press conference landed him on the front pages of the NY Times and NY Post.

2008_11_dnfr2.jpgEven the Post finds him disarming, singling out how he called himself a mutt. Post D.C. Bureau Chief Charles Hunt writes, "Obama exuded such cool confidence that he pulled off a racial quip that would have fallen flat had a politician of less warmth and charisma attempted it."

However, after some criticism for his quip about Nancy Reagan's seance, Obama apologized. A transition spokeswoman said, "President-elect Barack Obama called Nancy Reagan today to apologize for the careless and off-handed remark he made during today’s press conference. The President-elect expressed his admiration and affection for Mrs. Reagan that so many Americans share and they had a warm conversation."

The Daily News focuses on amazing photos of the First Family-elect on Election night--on the cover, it's Malia giving her dad a fist jab! Take that, America. You can see more of those photos in the Barack Obama Election Night Flickr set.

The Daily News also announced where readers can buy a copy of Wednesday's post-Election newspaper--check out the list of stores/newsstands here.

Shut up shut up shut up.

    Thank you.

Obama is just showing how mean spirited and hateful the neo-libs can be. It's really no surprise at all. It will only get worse.

Oh, big deal. Like nobody else ever laughed about Nancy's seances. And I don't remember Murdoch being all that chummy with Bill Clinton back in the 90s.

  • Felix Hoenikker

Screw old Nancy. She probably has nightly séances for old Ronnie anyway.

Murdoch is smart and rich enough to know whose ass to kiss.

  • Ghostie

I didn't find it disturbing, but he did call her to apologize.

  • No surprise that Murdoch plays it safe... Ol' Rupe gets everything he wants in America, including the right to break a variety of FCC regulations. I'd think his agenda is to appease whatever administration is in charge.

Rupert Murdoch is playing it safe. the NY post and regular Fox broadcast News are playing with kid gloves on obama but Foxnews cable and Foxnews.com are breeding grounds for the KKK. It's really bad in there.
