Corzine on Treasury Job Rumors

2008_11_corzine.jpgNow that Barack Obama has been elected, the most fervent speculation about his cabinet appointments might be around who will take over the Treasury. On the list is NJ Governor Jon Corzine, former Hillary Clinton supporter and Goldman Sachs chairman. While billionaires Donald Trump and Wilbur Ross think Corzine would be great, the governor said, "I'm not going to say never to anything. I want to be very clear: I like what I'm doing. I have not had any conversations with anybody about this job. People can speculate--it's nice, my mother will like it. The reality is there are a lot of good people." His pick would be 82-year-old Paul Volcker, the former Federal Reserve chairman who many credit with ending 1970s stagflation.

^ Sure they are. Now turn your tinfoil hat another 23 degrees. There's an important transmission coming from Paranoia Control.

#3 The Bankers (including the Federal Reserve) have been wanting to destroy America since 1913 and they are really close to doing so!

If Corzine hadn't gone beltless in that life or death car ride, I think he would have been Obama's VP nominee. He has the potential to be a national figure. Forget that Goldman Sachs nonsense, he's been out of there for a long time.

Corzine is an asshole with a low approval rating so I hope he serves cult master Obama.

Great place for another I-bank D-bag.

This has got to be a joke. This guy was neck deep in the shit at Goldman Sachs. He just had the sense to leave when he did. And top it off with his convenient inability to disclose his income tax returns because of his confidentiality agreement with Goldman.
