Obama Beating Out McCain in Cupcake Poll

The people at Crumbs are giving away 1,000 free cupcakes today at each of their locations (and free cupcakes all day Friday). Following Zaro's lead--they're using baked goods to conduct a delicious poll. They tell us there will be an “official count posted...and while it won’t be a scientific poll, it should shed some interesting light on neighborhood leanings."

So far the breakdown goes like this:

East Side - Obama - 50, McCain - 20
West Side - Obama - 92, McCain - 23
Union Square - Obama 74, McCain - 8
Madison - Obama 9, McCain - 2
Wall Street - Obama 15, McCain 4
Village - Obama 26, McCain - 9
Lexington - Obama - 27, McCain – 9

The grand total as of earlier today is 293 for Obama, and 75 for McCain. So there you have it, Obama's already cleaned up at 7-Eleven, and now he's got the cupcake consumers behind him too!

I went to Crumbs on Wall Street today. They weren't giving anything away. So I just called the Wall Street Crumbs, and she says they aren't giving anything away. Grrrrrrrrr.

These polls are definitely biased for Democrats. If you were to poll a west virginian rocky mountain oyster election you'd totally see McCain win those by a landslide.
