Devils Lose Brodeur For 3-4 Months

2008_10_brodeurout.jpgThe Devils got terrible news today when they learned that Martin Brodeur will require elbow surgery Thursday to repair the distal bicep in his left elbow. Brodeur is expected to miss 3-4 months after the operation, which should allow him to return to the Devils in March. The loss of Brodeur elevates Kevin Weekes into the starting goaltender’s spot, a role he hasn’t had since the 2003-04 season. Scott Clemmensen, with 15 career games in the NHL, is now Weekes' backup. Brodeur, who was injured Saturday, is a four-time winner, including last year, of the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goalie.

That really sucks for the Debbies. At least there will be a black guy working at prudential center who isn't a ticket taker, usher or concession worker.

He should have never changed his goalie mask.

Devils will overcome this unlike the Rangers who are plagued by double chinned bi-girl fans with XXL bottoms, you know what I'm talking about!

Well, look on the bright side, they do make the rockin' world go round.

And that sucks about Marty. A class act that doesn't deserve this fate. Sucks to de a devils fan these days. For all three of you.
