Of course there's time enough for Obama to rest. He can't do anything until he's sworn in in January anyway, and then it takes a few weeks more to actually get started. It'll be a long, hard slog anyway. A mess like this can't be cleaned up overnight. It'll take years, if not decades, especially the Supreme Court fiasco. I can understand how Dubya is totally oblivious to his standing as the worst president in decades if not all American history. But Laura Bush is supposed to be at least a little bit intelligent. She must be chugging the Kool-Aid by the gallon.

After Tuesday, I'm hoping that President Obama and his First Lady, Michelle Obama will take a week off in Hawaii to pay last respects to his beloved grandmother and to decompress a bit before coming back to undo 8 years of absolute and utter shit by that gang of vandals. The markets are stable and while things are getting rough, there's time enough for this respite.

Read the book, read the original story in context, and only then are you qualified to have an opinion on Barack's relationship with his grandmother.
