can someone tell me why this is televised? Boston is the real marathon NYC is a marathon for amateurs.

I wonder how many runners will get there the wrong time due to the time change.

just down in sunset and it looks like a ghost town. No runners or anything. It was 9:45 on 4th avenue. weird.
