Sources in the NYPD say that a transit officer who participated in the arrest of Michael Mineo in a Brooklyn subway station earlier this month has broken ranks and will support Mineo's explosive sodomy allegation.
One source tells the Daily News that the cop's version of the incident "is bad" for the NYPD: "He's not coming forward to say nothing happened." According to the Post, the unidentified officer will meet with the Brooklyn DA and the NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau to tell them that while he was holding Mineo down he saw one of the officers "jab" him in the buttocks with an object.
"He doesn't want to go down on this," says the News's source. And though the Times reported yesterday that tests on one officer’s equipment found no trace of hair, fibers, bodily tissue, fecal matter or blood, the Post has it that the DA's office is still awaiting tests on a radio and baton belonging to Alex Cruz, one of the arresting officers. Other NYPD sources say that an approximately half-inch-by half-inch tear found in Mineo's underwear supported his allegations.
Mineo's lawyer, Kevin Mosely, tells the Post there are as many as 18 witnesses and that evidence against the cops is "overwhelming." The tabloid's sources say at least two witnesses report hearing Mineo yell to the cops: "What are you doing to me!" and "What are you... a faggot?" After his second stint in the hospital, Mineo was released yesterday and met with the DA to prepare his grand jury testimony, but cut the session short because of intense pain.

"What are you... a faggot?"
Yeez, so now we find out the Mineo's a bigot. What a freaking jerk.
And here's a question for you: would Al Sharpton be holding this little wuss's hand if he had said, "What are you... a nigger?"
Humiliating.
i'm so sick of this elbow frown photo
that's a frown? I thought it's an open mouth,
so when his arm is down it's closed and when he elbows you, the mouth is open.
sounds like a tattoo a tough guy rebel would get.
Here are some other images of Mineo:

#1, nothing in that story claims that Mineo said that. The fact that it's in different print(bold) tells me that maybe a cop said that to Mineo since Mineo's own quote is not in bold.
Also, a double negative ("He's not coming forward to say nothing happened.") and a double entendre ("He doesn't want to go down on this,") in the same story? Priceless.
As fucked up as this story is, I'm glad the evidence is starting to support this guy's story... just to shut up the naysayers on this site who doubted his story based solely on how he looks.
Second stint in the hospital? Intense pain? By no means am I saying this guy is milking it, but... methinks this guy is milking it.
@ #6: Per The Post link, "Sources say at least two witnesses will say they heard Mineo yell to the cops, 'What are you doing to me!' and then to one officer, 'What are you . . . a faggot?'"
This guy is a scumbag-pure and simple. Whether or not the cops shoved a fucking recycling can up his ass will not change that. This tough guy participated in a gang assault on someone-causing some damage to the victim. Now he is claiming to be a "victim" of brutality, boo fucking hoo...He is not as tough when he doesn't have some of his fellow scumbuckets backing him up. He was in too much pain to meet with the DA. But he was willing to sit and get fucking tattoos all over himself-for hours of intense pain. If the cops did it, shame on them-they should be fired and put in jail.
Thanks John. That explains why I didn't take it into account. The Post is not worth the paper I use to wipe my ass.
#9, was he convicted of the charges you are claiming he committed? If not, then STFU. If so, then he's scum, but it still doesn't give anyone else the right to rape him with foreign objects. Also, I've never had anything shoved up my ass but I do have a few tattoos and I can say that tats don't hurt the way I would imagine being anally raped would. Comparing the two is inane.
Assuming he was clothed (trousers and underwear) a poke in the rear end with a rubber antenna is not rape. Unless the antenna was sharpened to a fine point it wouldn't pierce those garments. I'm no sleuth but this is getting weirder by the minute. Of course if his pants were down, it's another story. If any of it is true, he's in for a good payday.
#6, howaboutdemcowboys, I feel the same way. This man story had some credibility but it was dismissed due to his appearances and his past deeds. as one gothamist poster wrote ;" the ass you save can be your own" I am glad the transit cop broke the blue wall of silence. Now I have respect for at least one cop
@BY-I will not STFU. Christ learn to fucking read before you climb back on your high horse. I think this guy is so full of shit. He can get tattooed for hours at a time and be all tough when his buddies are around. But when the time comes for him to talk about what really happened, he can't take the pain. Where did I equate anal rape and getting tattoos? Nowhere dumbass. He is a scumbag-a wannabe tough guy. These cops have not been convicted of anything either-but everyone is jumping up and down about how they raped him. What evidence is supporting his story? Not much. Good luck to him
@whitecastle, you are comparing a man's pain from tattooing and his pain from butt rape. I can't believe that. Rape is more than physically pain. It is humiliation and it scars you for life. But if you don't believe me then why don't you experience yourself.
@whitecastle, also they were many things that gave this man credibility. why didn't the police arrest him or do a check on him. they let him go, because they were hoping he would forget about it. Also why did 2 ladies see blood on this pants as he ran up the stairs after his release. there were many things reported in the paper that indicated the police did something bad. I am glad they are investigating this issue. what upsets me is that people attack the victim. even if he is not a good guy, the police can't not butt rape people. This is sick and they don't belong on the force.
#13, did you just get out of high school? Name calling? Really? I'm not the only person who noticed that you compared the two types of pain to be comparable, so jump down off your own neo-con high horse and come sit with the rest of us adults who like to converse and debate with a bit of decorum. If you continue to come on this site and call people names, you will be shot down every time by those with the intelligence and patience to see that you are nothing more than a child begging for attention.
Also, I never jumped on a high horse. I clearly told you that if he was guilty of beating up someone, then he is the scum you claim him to be. I apologize for telling you to STFU as that was a thought meant for a coworker that found its way into my rant on here.
As far as what happened to him and what evidence there is to support his story, you may want to "learn to fucking read" as you so elegantly put it. There are many eye-witnesses and one happens to be a cop.
"Assuming he was clothed (trousers and underwear) a poke in the rear end with a rubber antenna is not rape."
Good idea: read before commenting. The above says clearly "an approximately half-inch-by half-inch tear [was] found in Mineo's underwear." Linked articles state that his jeans had been pulled down during the apprehension.
Yawn-this is tedious. I hope the truth comes out...
others be damned
This dirtbag took an antenna up the ass and now he will be filthy rich.
Could be worse. You were willing to take a McCain administration up the ass and be filthy poor. Welcome to Barack Obama's America. For the next eight years! I know I'll get a kick knowing you'll be miserable all through that.
hey #10 i have tattoos AND i have been fucked up the ass. tattoos hurt more.
This is the way I see it. One as-hole smoking a joint met three as-holes with guns, handcuffs badges and a baton. It is a shame that this one individual gives a bad name to people who occasionally smoke pot and that is the only law they break. It is also a way bigger shame that these other 3 individuals give a bad name to other folks who carry guns, handcuffs, badges and batons who (for the most part) protect and serve the people of New York City.
