Brooklyn Pastor Continues Recovery From July 4 Car Crash

2008_10_twright.jpgReverend Timothy Wright, known as the "Godfather of Gospel" and the pastor of the Grace Tabernacle Church in Crown Heights, spoke to WCBS 2 about the July 4th accident that killed his wife and grandson. They had been driving on 1-80 in Pennsylvania when a drunk driver--driving the wrong way-- hit them at what Wright believes was 80 mph. Wright, now paralyzed from the chest down, has a 50% chance of walking again. He said, "I lost my wife, I lost my grandson, and for some reason, God left me here. So here I am." He wasn't told of his wife's death immediately, because his children wanted him to concentrate on his recovery. A benefit will be held to support him next month. More details here.
