Snow Makes Guest Appearance in NJ

2008_10_octsnow.jpgSure, there's severe rainstorms and wind, but snow? WCBS 2 calls some "light snowfall" in central NJ an "October Surprise." And NJ transportation officials were surprised too: NJ Turnpike Authority spokesman Joe Orlando said, "It looked like a mini-blizzard in October. We're salting roads and we haven't even gone trick or treating yet." Some further weather warnings: "Afternoon temperatures are expected to fall, reaching 39 degrees by this evening in Midtown. Tonight, expect blustery and cold conditions with clouds and a rain or snow shower with a low of 36."
