phpqAeLy9AM.jpgEVENT: Ice skating season has arrived, and tonight is the 2008 Ice Theater celebrity performance, starring Nancy Kerrigan (who will also be at Bryant Park's pond at 12:30 today). Relive the 1994 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, minus the knee-bashing.

7 p.m. // Chelsea Piers, Pier 61 // $25

RECYCLE: The CENYC asks: "Did you know that 5.7% of NYC's residential waste is textiles, yet they are 100% recyclable?" Solution: "Recycle your unwanted textile materials at the Union Square Greenmarket every Monday. Acceptable donations include used clothing, shoes, boots, hats, jackets, towels, bedding, and linens. Goodwill will provide receipts upon request for those who may want to use their donation as a charitable contribution."

8 a.m. to 6 p.m. // Union Square Green Market // Free

THEATER: Since the new(ish) home of Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO boasts a 1600 square foot indoor lake, tonight's show, The Floating Brothel, should fit right in. The one-night-only performance features five actors telling the tale of "a ship full of convict women pulled out of their world in the underbelly of London and thrust into the helm of a ship sailing to a unknown continent where they will begin their lives anew. This epic journey is performed entirely within the confines of a 3'x6' platform that the actors never step off of. With the help of a few everyday objects, they transform the playing space from the bustle and noise of London, to the dank bilge of a ship and the harrowing voyage across the sea to a new world." — John Del Signore

8 p.m. // Galapagos Art Space [16 Main St, Brooklyn] // $5

MUSIC: If you don't need a vacation from music after CMJ, then head over to Mercury Lounge for Born Ruffians and Plants and Animals. We highly recommend the opening band here. Just listen for yourselves. They're at the Bell House tomorrow night, too--which would really free up your Monday night for some NKOTB action at MSG.

9:30 p.m. // Mercury Lounge [217 E Houston St] // $12
