• From the Gothamist Newsmap: A school bus accident at Douglaston Pkwy & Long Island Expy in Queens, a robbery at Cadman Plaza West & Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn, and an armed robbery at West 47 Street at 9th Ave in Manhattan.
• Sicko Connecticut man dragged his dog--tied to his truck-- while apparently driving drunk for ten minutes. The dog had to be put down and the driver was charged with DWI and cruelty to animals.
• Sex, lies and videotape: Christie Brinkley's ex Peter Cook may not have to pay $100,000 in hush money to his former teen mistress since her lawyers blabbed about a sex tape.
• The Village Voice's Benjamin Strong thinks Oliver Stone's W. is better than World Trade Center, because WTC's "second half of the movie is a tedious melodrama."
