Late Night Shooting Outside Club Kills Two in Brooklyn

2008_10_nightclub.jpgTwo brothers were shot and killed early this morning after melee involving gunshots fired into a crowd caused two plainclothes officers to draw their weapons and fire. Dwayne David and Kayshawne Ford, 22 and 21 respectively, died outside RJ's Place in Brownsville where they had been celebrating following a day spent at Great Adventure. A brawl that broke out involving 30 people as the club was closing for the night led to gunshots fired first just among the crowd and then turned into a shootout with the two cops who intervened. Authorities have not yet revealed if either of the brothers was a shooter, but one was found with a semi-automatic underneath his body. No one else involved in the altercation was injured.

Sad story. My condolences to their mothers.

Kayshawne Ford? A name like that can only lead to tragic circumstances.
