Despite the rangers captain being snakebit, Tom Renney's new lines played well enough to limit the Penguins to 2 total shots on net in the 3rd period. I disagree with the premise that the rangers didn't deserve the win, because Pittsburg clearly went into a shell in the 3rd. Playing the prevent defense is often a guarantee of losing. Unless you are the Detroit Red Wings...
