EVENT: The FilmArtFunction multi-media event tonight goes to benefit Under the Bridges, a non-profit documentary-series profiling environmentally-minded artists. The evening will be hosted by comedian Kendra Cunningham, and include live performances by DJ Shawn Shwartz, pop-pianist Derrick Wang and magician Matthew Haicken. In addition, a silent fine art auction will be held AND you'll be greeted by an 8-doorway-of-ice ice sculpture. The ticket price includes all of that as well as food and free wine (there will also be a cash bar).

THEATER: For a decade now, writer-performer Clay McLeod Chapman has been entertaining audiences with his dark and bizarre "bedtime stories for adults. Part monologue, part boxing match," every story told during The Pumpkin Pie Show is chosen at random each night by Chapman and his partner Hannah Cheek. Back in town after an international tour, Richard Hinojosa says it's "so full of energy from start to finish that if we could harness it we may be able to decrease our dependence of foreign oil. In the past the show has been described as dark and twisted but it is also filled with beauty and agony...often simultaneously." The Times also raves. – John Del Signore
