Jock Itch Defense Doesn't Work for Cop

2008_10_jit.jpgA police lieutenant accused of sexual harassment by two subordinates was found guilty of the harassment charge and "creating a lewd, hostile work environment," according to the Daily News. Two sergeants claimed that Lt. Kieran Crowe "simulated masturbating and wiggled his tongue at them in a sexually suggestive manner" at the Police Headquarters office, which "ironically, investigates harassment in the workplace." Crowe had said he had jock itch, even calling a dermatologist to testify. However, a trial commissioner felt no condition involves "extensive staring at crotches, masturbation gestures, tongue gestures and sighing sounds." Crowe was put on probation and suspended for 60 days. Related: Our old favorite, the cop who was fired because his wife laced his meatballs with marijuana so he'd fail a drug test.

Gotta agree with the trial commish. on this one. Jock itch is understandable, but all that other stuff? Come on!

agreed! I can get that if you have jock itch, you are going to scratch your nuts, but what does wiggling your tounge, pretending to masterbate and moaning have to do with jock itch?

Nothing! You got caught! Face it like a man and don't blame your crusty nuts for it either!

Shame on you!!!

Good to see what our taxes are paying for.

Sounds like another "suspicious package" incident.

No no no. You guys don't understand the context. The poor guy had jock itch. He's stuck in an office with other people, and he is suffering. He thinks he's found a moment when he can pick his crotch and not be observed, but no, two female officers are looking right at him and there he is, mid-pick. So, in a moment of panic, he pretends to sexually harrass them. Maybe not the wisest decision, but that's how it went down.

"simulated masterbating and wiggled his tongue at them in a sexually suggestive manner"--wow a whole new meaning to the term "sexist pig".
