Yeah, Cindy McCain had several "miscarriages". That's what rich c#nts call sitting on the toilet all day washing vitamin c tabs down with pineapple juice until, horror!,another unwanted little painkiller parasite has been flushed. I wonder if she ran the faucet the whole time as a noise white-out.

This election season feels like it's been going on for years on end. Politicians spend more time campaigning than actually being in Washington.

  • Mr Mel

There are plenty of good reasons to look at a presidential candidate's family. They have direct access to him (or her) much more of the time than his advisors. If if they're dysfunctional it can affect others more than their own spouse or children. The well being of the country depends on the clearness of thought of the incumbent, it's not just a private family matter.

Honestly, I wish we could leave the wives out of this after a while. I get it already: as a working class democrat I am not supposed to feel anything but disdain the overprivileged ice queen that is Cindy McCain. And midwestern white folk should watch out for that uppity negress Michelle Obama (she might hate whitey)!

Can we stop examining potential first ladies as little more than potential campaign liabilities?

  • Mr Mel

The Times article showed Cindy to be a spoiled rich kid. She couldn't take the DC scene and just packed up and went home. The marriage appears a little weird also. Sen. McCain spends the work week in the capitol and the weekends in Arizona, but they don't necessarily stay together he goes to their (or her) ranch and she goes elsewhere (like a high rise California ocean front condo, that she spends four months a year at.) This is a marriage of convenience and not the blissful love match they would want us to believe. Just one more reason not to vote for the guy.

The Tribune was recently bought by the reformist Sam Zell a billionaire real estate magnate. The previous owners would not have allowed the Tribune to endorse Obama.

I mean, check out the trib's M.O. It's everything that Obama is not.

"The Chicago Tribune believes in the traditional principles of limited government; maximum individual responsibility; minimum restriction of personal liberty, opportunity and enterprise. It believes in free markets, free will and freedom of expression. These principles, while traditionally conservative, are guidelines and not reflexive dogmas.

The Tribune brings a Midwestern sensibility to public debate. It is suspicious of untested ideas.

The Tribune places great emphasis on the integrity of government and the private institutions that play a significant role in society. The newspaper does this in the belief that the people cannot consent to be governed unless they have knowledge of, and faith in, the leaders and operations of government. The Tribune embraces the diversity of people and perspectives in its community. It is dedicated to the future of the Chicago region. "

So color me impressed with their choice.
