Fired Columbia Professor Sues School

Madonna Constantine, the former Teachers College professor whose office door had a noose hanging on it last year, is now suing Columbia University over her termination. Constantine had been dismissed over plagiarism charges after an 18-month long investigation and she claimed the school was conducting a witch hunt (though it should be noted two of her accusers were minorities--one black and one Asian). The Post notes that the lawsuit says the accusers are the real plagiarizers while the Daily News reports that lawsuit now says Constantine was the victim of "extreme bias," stating, "They took [Constantine's] guilt as a foregone conclusion and conducted no investigation beyond that required to buttress such conclusion."

Where's Tawana Brawley in all this? Is she going for her doctorate about now?

I'm glad she is playing the race card. Columbia is getting just what they deserve. I hope Madonna gets her job back and I hope Columbia loses a lot of money.

Since she was found to be a plagiarist she deserved to get fired. If she planted the noose herself, she is belittling the plight of her own people against racism. Similar to women who would falsely cry rape -- belittling the horrifying experience of women who actually have been sexually assaulted and rendering the charge of rape less substantial.

What a shame that the 'Negroes' see themselves as victims most of the time. . .

Poor 'Negroes'- goin' thru life bein' so dejected.

  • NannyState

Filthy plagiarist. I hope she gets life in prison.

  • Pull My Finger

Let her get job at McDonalds.

Man, you gotta love this crazy bitch. She just will not say die will she. Whole attention getting noose thing just did not go how she planned did it.

  • breaknight

She's a hack. The noose may not have been a hoax...but she's a sorry excuse for an academic.

  • Roquentin

That noose thing always felt like a hoax, and the idea that she was plagiarizing her work only furthers that. I hope she loses the suit.

  • thefacts

Like #2, I always felt that she put the noose there to gain sympathy and publicity, and to cry 'racism' falsely, as happens so often.

The plagarism charge makes it even more plausible.

    Now this lawsuit nonsense.

  • ides_of_march

Did they ever find who put that noose on her door?

No, I didn't think so. Maybe because the plagiarist is also a racial hoax artist.

she claimed the school was conducting a witch hunt (though it should be noted two of her accusers were minorities--one black and one Asian).

But were any of them witches? No.
