  • From the Gothamist Newsmap: A foot pursuit at Farmers Blvd & Murdock Ave in Queens, a double shooting at Targee St & Vanderbilt Ave on Staten Island and a person struck by a train at East Tremont Ave & The Grand Concourse in the Bronx.
  • The Daily News has video of a shoplifting arrest on the Lower East Side--apparently a group of people were stealing jackets from Unis on Elizabeth Street.
  • Is parking your car near 184 Kent Avenue hazardous to your vehicle's health? Not to mention your own, if you're sitting in the car?
  • Too good to be true: A Long Island family rented a house for $1,000/month--until the actual owner stopped by.
  • One Russian-American artisanal coffee place manager-in-training on loving New York: "If I’m in New York, I really want to leave, but if I leave, there’s no place like it."
  • Since Atlantic City casinos must legally go smoke-free because a ban was passed earlier this year, it'll just be for a week before the City Council votes to delay it.
  • Embarrassing: A TMZ employee got a Happy Meal box with Michael Vick on it. Apparently McDonald's was still distributing the old box (from before the football star's dogfighting conviction).
  • And Paramount executives aren't thrilled that South Park showed George Lucas and Steven Spielberg raping Indiana Jones (literally, in the animated sense), but hey, how about that Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies nightmare that Cartman had! (You can watch it here)

"Embarrassing: A TMZ employee got a Happy Meal box with Michael Vick on it"

Who gives a shit?!

Chinese cop treated him like an animal. It's not like he was resisting arrest or fighting them. He could have just asked him politely to do it. He must be overcomepensating the fact that he's small.

Now when are they gonna arrests the real thieves, the greedy Wall Street a$$hole$?

Any relation to those cops, JChung?
