Could someone list the major accomplishments of the Bloomberg administration?
I would love to see them against a list of failures and incompletes.

sinisterteashop - your right about Bloomy and the bubble. Two years ago he realized a financial crisis was looming and he began working on changing the term limits. Yes. Two years ago Bloomberg started his efforts to change the term limits.

Billionaire glamour and wisdom don't have the charge they used to have. Koch, Giuliani, Bloomberg... each represents a New York that doesn't exist anymore. Bloomberg's just the latest casualty. His magic won't work anymore because the bubble he rode on has popped popped popped...

Bloomberg is just being a Nazi...which is kind of ironic when you really think about it.

He is basically saying..."The hell with what the people want and what the people have voted for...I have the power and the money so I will do whatever I want."

Sounds pretty Nazi to me!

cucarachita - you are most likely not un-American. Because you are not involved in their activities. You simply have your opinion.

Even Socialist Chavez put the vote to the people to extend his term. Bloomberg is disgusting and a parasite to use this crisis to extend his job. It will take more than one mayor to solve these issues and if he cared then he can help in the background. Bloomberg gave only 5.5 million of our money to council member simcha felder to buy his vote on congestion pricing. Simcha Felder is very unethical and I am glad he lost to Parker. However he will now stay in the council another 4 years and will continue stealing from us.

Why have elections at all? New York's billionaires only want to do what's right for us. We should just trust them. I say let them rule by fiat. Bloomberg for King!

I guess I'm unamerican too, because I'm all for keeping him. In fact, I would simply extend his current term for a year, and have elections then, with or without him, according to whatever gets decided about the third term.
I don't want him running a campaign when he's supposed to be taking care of this city's economy. He's smart, his strongsuit is money, and money is what's at stake right now.
My POV is as simple as that.

Bloomberg, Lauder & Co. are un-American. There should be a hearing in Washington to get to the bottom of this.
