He's just lucky that while passing by Viagra Headquarters, a "hooded crusader" didn't rise up over him and fire paralyzing goo all over his missle.

Sure, a real missile could. But again, a glance would tell anyone that this isn't a real missile. Of course, any vehicle "could" contain a nuclear warhead which "could" be detonated. But that the vehicle chosen to deliver such a weapon would be trailer with a big toy missile on it is one of the least likely scenarios for such an attack. Oh but wait! The terrorists know that someone might think that way, so maybe they will hide their next WMD in a giant toy missile! This vehicle should get the same attention at bridges and tunnels that any other truck or trailer would get. He says he has been stopped and asked for his license and registration, so it seems that the level of scrutiny is where it should be: wariness, common sense, no paranoia.

ACK-shully, jaycjay, a real missile COULD contain a nuclear warhead which COULD be detonated (on purpose or by accident) within or near the city. It would not have to be launched toward the city from far, far away. So no, for that reason, I don't think the police officers exercised good judgment. But hey, maybe that's just me. A-8

It's ridiculous to make a big deal about him being able to bring this thing into the city. See... it's not a missile. Any adult with half a brain can tell at a glance that it's not, and also knows that there would be no reason to bring a missile of that size, even if it were one, into Manhattan. That'd be the kind of thing you'd launch toward the city from far, far away. I'm happy to hear that there are NYPD officers who exercise common sense. (BTW, in the tags for the post 'missile" is misspelled.)
